Students and their friends from area schools are once again invited to "E.X.P.L.O.R.E." (Exciting Programs, Learning Opportunities, and Rewarding Experiences) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional School. For five consecutive weeks, students in three educational learning communities (Primary, Junior, and the Middle School) will experience the freedom to discover and undertake one-of-a-kind programs focused on enhancing confidence, building leadership skills, inspiring creativity, or serving the greater community, just to name a few. Field trips, hands-on workshops, and awesome surprises fill every week and almost every program! Since we want to ensure a top-notch, unbeatable experience for each child, there is a strict limit of 22-25 students per program. Given an overwhelming response to last year’s season and reasonable tuition costs, we are expecting spaces to fill up very fast. Discounts are available for those who sign up early before April 15, 2013!

  • School Choice Bill

    Rhode Island Catholic Schools

    Parent Federation

     May 16, 2013

We are pleased and excited to announce the following:

Bill 2013H 6131, RELATING TO EDUCATION-PARENTAL CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ACT,

was submitted by Representatives Coderre and Corvese on Thursday, May 16. When approved, this bill will assist parents in choosing the right school for their child. Expanding school choice and competition is one of the most important actions we can take to improve Rhode Island's schools. Expanded school choice may face strong opposition, however studies have exhibited that expanded choice improves student achievement, reduces segregation, promotes civic values, and facilitates other productive reforms.  Parental Choice in Education can take the form of issued educational vouchers, saving accounts and corporate tax credits.

We need all parents to reach out to their legislators now to let them know you support this bill. Once a committee hearing date has been established, you will be asked to join us at the State House to rally in favor of the bill.

Many thanks to Representatives Coderre and Corvese for submitting this bill.

    James Sheil

    President

    RI Catholic Schools Parent Federation
