Summer Reading & Math
Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional School encourages ongoing summer learning to help students retain skills, concepts and abilities during the summer months. Research has shown that students who participate in ongoing learning activities throughout the summer are more intellectually ready to participate and succeed during the new school year.
We ask students to participate in summer reading activities and math learning. Below are links to printable summer packets for Math and Reading at each grade level. Please print out and complete the assignments for the first day of class. If your family is in need of a copy of any of the packet materials, please don't hesitate to call us during the summer. We strongly encourage students to pace out the activities and not wait until the last minute.
As always, these packets are indicators of work that can be expanded upon by parents who may wish to challenge their children during the summer months. We always encourage students to read as much and often as possible to progress in ability and understand. Many parents encourage summer reading with specific family incentives and "prizes."
