The objective of Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional School is to create a smooth transition to remote learning while maintaining a continuity of education throughout all of the grade levels.  As we move forward we hope that you feel a bit more comfortable with the digital platforms and tools we are implementing. We are committed to providing every child with rich learning experiences that not only address academics, inclusive of 21st-century learning skills but are supportive of the social and emotional needs of our children during this difficult time.

In our transition to remote learning, Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional School has been using the Google Classroom platform in grades three through eight, where teachers share daily/weekly assignments and other resources with students and parents. Checking Google Classroom regularly will keep you in touch with your child’s teacher and classmates, as well as help your child stay current in his or her schoolwork.

 

Throughout our virtual learning implementation, we have set our top priority as maintaining connections with our students. Therefore, in addition to Google Classroom, teachers have been utilizing online conferencing tools such as ​Google Meet​ and ​Zoom​. Video conferencing allows teachers to talk face-to-face with individual students, small groups, or even an entire class at once! Applications such as IXL for ELA, Math, and Spanish, EPIC for reading, and Spelling and Vocabulary City are just some of the new tech tools that are being implemented at various grade levels.
